Today has seen another story breaking again at my football club of wanton greed with premiership footballers and their agents.

Carlos Tevez, the captain of Manchester City, leading goalscorer, player of the season, and all round action hero, demands a transfer request on the day we go joint top of the league.

What more do these people want??

Tevez is already on £268,000 a week - TAX FREE

Would an extra £32,000 a week make that much of a difference to hit the £300k mark.. or £1.2 million a month

Or is he that homesick that he wants to go back to Argentina to see his kids and his estranged wife.

Its way more than this.. this is about one thing.. MONEY

Agents are at work here and one in particular.. Kiavash "Kia" Joorabchian

I hope City remain firm, and their press release this morning suggest that they are intending to back Mancini and Cook on sticking to its guns, that contracts will never be renegotiated mid season.

As is right.. you look at contracts at the end of the season, when we have trophies in the bank, and or objectives have been reached. You dont be held to ransom by agents in the middle of a season, and for the most part, these are people who dont actually care about their clients.

Carlos Tevez should do himself and his family a massive favour and learn to speak English, instead of letting his agents do what they want, when they want too.

Flip the coin over to Pablo Zabaleta, our other Argentinian player, totally different, a model professional, no airs or graces, a team player, doesnt complain when he is not in the team, always plays with a smile on his face, and looks settled in Manchester.

Our manager Roberto Mancini jets back to Italy every weekend to visit his very ill father.

A little perspective from El Apache wouldnt go amiss along with his crony IKEA.

Back to basics

And so MCFC have lost two games on the spin.. cue season over hysterics.
As I'm away from base I have not had the chance to catch up on all things CITY, but i can read the headlines and see reactions from fans and pundits around the sphere.

Mancini has lost the dressing room, blah de blah de blah. Why?

Players have to take full responsibility for their performances on the pitch.. when they cross the line.. they have to do the jobs they are handsomely paid to do, the manager can change tactics and personnel in his 90 minutes plus, but he cant change egos and players minds.

Its high time the clubs stuck their necks out for themselves and their management team instead of the players. players are commodities, they can be bought and sold willy nilly.. the club shall remain.. and the fans are the lifeblood of any club, without fans you have no club..

I still believe in Roberto Mancini, but I'm wavering in my support of some players. Take Emmanuel Adebayor.. on his day.. he's virtually unplayable.. only we aint seen many of his unplayable days in a blue shirt, we have seen the sulky one, the lazy one, the i cant really be arsed one.

Adam Johnson.. a fine young talent.. again on his day..unstoppable.. I have seen a marked change in him since he was brought into the EGOland team. He doesnt seem to believe he has to work hard now he has a few caps for his country.

Gareth Barry.. James Milner..Shaun Wright Phillips when are they going to show the form for their club sides that makes them semi-automatic choices for their national teams.

The buck stops with the players.Changing the manager doesnt do the club nor the fans any favours. I trust in Mancini to see this and to ship out the players that do not want to put the extra 50% in that we all need to do no matter how talented you think you are.

The season is only 10 weeks old.. so hang in there people..

And remember.. better dead than red

Well lords ladies and err..lads..I'm back after a summer hiatus of juice, vegetables, water and travel.

The football season has started.. and my team MCFC are mid table with a win and a loss ( yes we lost) away at Soonderland.

All in all its looking quite rosy in the garden of Eastlands.

Will we win the league.. probably not

Will we finish in the top 4..most probably

Will we win a trophy of some sort.. we have too really.

More as we go...

The run in.

At last my team Manchester City make a few teams pay in the goals department.. Last week Burnley got walloped 1-6, today we smashed Birmingham 5-1,and next up is the old adversaries Manchester United, which if we win, we will cost them the title.. which is nice, but actually it doesnt make a blind bit of difference to me.

MCFC is the only team that I concentrate on.

All season i have heard from rival fans, who never used to be our rivals cos frankly we were crap, that money cant buy you anything, all yer players are mercanaries they hiss, and the arabs will leave you high and dry, when they don't win anything.

Our new rivals.. Liverpool, Everton, Spurs, Aston Villa, Arsenal....then we have the usual bitterness from United fans and the cockiness of Chelsea fans who fail to realise that back in 2003, they were 10 mins from Administration.

You'll buy the league next season.. BOYS, please.. I have never seen the LEAGUE for sale anywhere, point me to the advertisement that states.. FA PREMIERSHIP for SALE..

Now i understand Liverpools fans frustration. Their American owners promised them a nice new stadium and an unlimited budget for Rafa to waste on players you've never heard of and pick reserves ahead of the old stalwarts Gerrard and Torres.

What can i say.. you followed United's mantra.. who themselves GLOATED when they were when the boot is firmly on the other foot, THEY ARE ALL PROTESTING and waving silly scarves to force their owners to QUIT.. as IF.

KIDS.. if you still think its yer club, you are even more deluded than at first thought. Yes you are the fans, but do you buy the players.. NO, do you pay all their wages.. errr.. NO.. Soooooo.. whats yer beef?

Is it the simple reason that you have both been so used to SUCCESS over the past 40yrs, you can see the OLD GUARD changing..

BOYS.. you don't own football.. tho you think you do.

LIverpool fans now be honest here.. who had ever heard of Liverpool before the Beatles and the 60s?

And United.. you were the same as us for years..tho to be fair you did win the European Cup in 68.

Even so..

Yer whining is laughable.

Back to money,money, money.

So what if MCFC have spent nearly £300m in 5yrs..Chelsea have spent EVEN more, even Spurs who don't get as much stick as us have spent over £260m since 2005, Liverpool have done £200m, United £195m, and well, we all know Arsenal spend 10p a season.

Whatever happens in the run in.. I can honestly say.. i have never had a better season.. Semi Finals of League Cup, Quarter Finals of the FA Cup, and currently 4points ahead of Spurs in the chase for the final Champions League spot.

We have a great squad. Even tho we do have 11 players injured and 9 out on loan ( as nobody wants to give us money for players, tho they love to RAMP it up when we come sniffing)

BRING ON UNITED.. and let JUSTICE prevail

Its that time again when the Top 3 teams in the Premiership are seemingly nailed on certs to finish where they now sit.. and the battle for 4th spot and the final lucrative champions league spot is up for grabs.

The runners and riders for the aforementioned spot are :

Manchester City
Aston Villa

Now we all know that five into one just wont go.

My beloved and very infuriating club Manchester City are the current favourites as we are 1pt clear in 4th spot with a game in hand over all our rivals

But all this can change very quickly.

For the record.. and this is my opinion. We should actually be sitting pretty in 2nd place.

The reason why we are not, is due to an up and down season at COM's.

I mean.. which other football club or business for that matter in the world would let our £32m record signing, sign off for 6 months to have a jolly in his native Brazil - you guessed it.. MCFC

We have had the farce of the African Nations to contend with when we lost our captain and at the time our inform striker, tho both are now are back in the fold one is carrying the scars of a near death experience.

Then their was the removal of Mark Hughes just before Christmas 2009, and the appointment of Roberto Mancini

Coupled with more injuries than would be the norm, we have been very hit and miss.. and lately.. MISS.

We have lost games we should have won, drawn games we should have won, and basically we should be tucked in nicely behind Chelsea as Man Yoo are no big shakes this season..

Which brings me nicely to our opponents today LIVERPOOL.

LIVERPOOL FC, the famous team of the 70s and 80s are having a mare of a time in 2010.. Mind you they have been having a mare of a time for the past 20yrs. No titles since the late 80s, the odd champions league win has kept them afloat and the odd cup win also.

Tho i would like to see the look on their scouse faces when they open todays papers.. when MCFC are linked with a big money swoop for their best two players Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres this summer. Coupled with the problems they have with their own owners..I would like to see them all UPSET come Monday morning also.

Stick that in your HISTORY pipes LIVERPOOL.

TOTTENHAM on the other hand are a team and a club i have a severe disliking for. Harry Redknapp the current manager reminds me of a one night stand that you just cant shake off.

He is linked with every rivals player, i will admit it he just gets my goat up.

Spurs have spent over £150m on players in the past 3 yrs.. and nothing is said in the media.. why.. I dunno..someone tell me.
I hope they fail.. and end up 10th!

Plus the fact that they robbed us in the 81 cup final.. G-r-r-r-r-r-r

Villa are a nice and tidy side run by one of Britain's best managers and former City midfielder Martin O'Neill. I loved him at Celtic, he is a no nonsense educated football manager. He gets results wherever he goes. He doesnt spend great deals of cash and he always seems to get a decent run of results, tho i can see them falling away this season after they play United in the CC final.

Everton are playing decent stuff at the moment , they put us away a few weeks back, which was made easier by the fact that we were dire, and today they rumbled United 3-1. They dont have a massive squad, and are getting players back just in time for the run in, with the likes of Arteta and Cahill looking strong.

I can see Everton nicking past the likes of SPURS and ASTON VILLA in the final reckoning if they can keep the injuries down.

Where are my team MCFC going to finish.. well this depends if Roberto Mancini can quell an apparent players revolt behind the scenes.

Also if he can get most of the squad fit and available for selection

And he can also get a winning system and team.

Because from where i see things. He has no idea what his best system is, or his best team.

Most teams in England play 4-4-2

Mancini has been playing 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-2-1.. In fact I'm sure he still thinks he's in ITALY.

We like to be entertained in this league.Sitting back for 70 minutes isnt gonna win you many friends Roberto and starting off like slugs on a day out isnt neither.

We like to see wingers.. so why dont you play SWP who frightens defenders with his pace and Adam Johnson our latest £7m signing from Middlesboring hey

We've been having problems in our creative midfield, its obvious he doesnt fancy our current player of the year Stephen Ireland for reasons unknown and he sticks with the experience, ageing and not very creative Patrick Viera.

Its not working Roberto

Hopefully this afternoon..he wil do a very un italian thing..

And attack Liverpool from the first whistle.

Come on.. you know you wanna?

The Brit awards..

Can anyone tell me what is the point?

Samantha Fox, Peter Kay, Jonathan Ross.. and a whole host of other no marks

JLS.. introduced as the runners up in Z Factor.. who then were lowered down from the sky.. to lip sync

Cheryl Cole.. miming.. ffs.

Two spice girls.. what happened to the other three??

Kasabian adding an extra verse into their single "Fire" to accommodate the suits who paid £1000 each to watch an embarrassing spectacle on national TV.

Lady ga ga dressed as the hairbear bunch..

Robin WIlliams for a lifetime achievement award.. for fuckin what exactly..

Need i go on..

Its a fuckin joke of a ceremony.. is it any wonder that there are no musical heroes coming through in 2010.

It says everything thats wrong with Britain today.. It wouldnt surprise me if Simon Cowell was the secret producer.. after all he practically owns ITV musical viewing doesnt he.

Not forgetting R kid who livened things up somewhat by bowling his award and microphone into the crowd.. cue media hysteria and a red nosed comment from the bolton clown... note not censored by ITV..ahem

its outdated, outlandish and just plain shite.

Whats next.. the X factor awards?

Dont joke.. you just know its coming..

So the race for Spots 3+ 4 in the Premiership is hotting up.

My team Manchester City sit nicely tucked in on the shoulders of Arsenal providing they win their 2 games in hand, in doing so will overtake Liverpool in 4th spot.

Even so.. I just love how the "media" have been writing us off since we were taken over by our Arabic cousins

You cant buy a team they print!

It will take time to gel they holla!

Everyone who signs for City is a mercenary, who are only interested in the cash.. they spout.

Well mr and mrs tabloid fodder. When you have the money, you can buy who you want.

And we are all aware there are settling in periods fro players and managers... but watch us go..

Also.. players sign for man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool for what - Peanuts or Raisins..

They all sign for MONEY, its the name of the game, so don't go deluding yourselves that mr superstar striker is coming to you for the LOVE, cos he isnt.

Let the JEALOUSY begin..

And so it is..

So El Apache ( Carlos Tevez) calls Gary Neville of "Nited" some names.. AND
Its had extensive press coverage in the UK media of their recent spat, and now well. Let MCFC give "Nited" something to really moan at. Lets go to Old Trafford on Wednesday and finish the job. Yes.. lets go there and beat them. We have done it before, lets not go there and defend please Roberto..

I hope Mr Mancini gets his tactics spot on and his team selection. A blind man will tell you that "Nited" will come out with all guns blazing looking for the early breakthrough and to get the theatre of sleep onside.

So i would like City to combat this and pick an adventurous team. I would like to see Stephen Ireland start in place of Gareth Barry who has looked jaded in recent games. Nigel De Jong should retain his place in the centre, and keep SWP there to spring the attacks.

Stick Carlos up top with Emmanuel Adebayor and give the United defence occupied for 90 mins.. instead of the 30 mins we seen last week.

My team would be

1.Shay Given
2.Michah Richards
3.Pablo Zabaleta
4.Vincent Kompany
5.Nedum Onuoha
6.Stephen Ireland
7.Nigel De Jong
8.Craig Bellamy
10.Carlos Tevez
11.Emmanuel Adebayor

forget the spare keeper, he's pants.. and we dont need him

We have enough in our locker to beat Nited.

Lest we forget that we BEAT Barcelona in the Nou Camp earlier this season.

I dont think i have seen a Nited side as bad as this for 20+ years..

When Darren Fletcher can be the main man.. then you have serious issues El Taggart.

1-2 will do me.. as they will score.. but we have enough going forward to trouble them.

I also hope that the match doesnt end with us all squabbling about the officials.. Mr Webb and Mr Wiley.

Step up to the plate City.. We are 100 mins away from out first Wembley Appearance since 1981.. i wont count the Full Members Cup in 1986, or the Play Off Final in 1999..

Make yourself.. HEROES.. not ZERO's

Wednesday, 13 January 2010

Olden.. but Golden.. well..

United sign Micheal Owen and it was hailed as clever!!!

Arsenal re-sign Sol Campbell and Wenger is hailed as a genius!!

City sign Patrick Viera.. and we're slammed by everyone!!!

Can Chelsea dig out Kerry Dixon NOW..lets have some parity.

Ryan Giggs is 35.. Player of the year last season, blah de blah de blah..

Football shouldnt be ageist.. but in the past few years its become that way.

Will we we ever see the likes of Teddy Sheringham again.. not football wise, but age wise, playing till well into his 40s?

Football is not a hard game.. You do need pace.. but not overly so.

Patrick Viera will slot easily back into the British game..he will play central midfield for Manchester City, he is experienced, a World Cup Winner..City are aiming for the title, his signing could be invaluable..

Solomon Campbell on the other hand shows that ARSENAL have no money. Sol aint played this season, his last club was Notts County of the 4th division..

How he thinks he will be able to handle the pace of the Premierships attackers.

ARSENE.. wakey wakey..

If ya play in attack, you need a burst of pace, or a knack of finding space. Micheal Owen has neither anymore, again.. the worlds self proclaimed biggest club in the world.. is on its ARSE.

Long may it continue..

Monday, 4 January 2010

So... here comes 2010.. the year i had tipped City to end their 34 yr hunt for a trophy.

When i tipped City to win the title, back in August 2009 i may have been slightly over zealous.I mean we had Mark Hughes+ the welsh taffia in charge, CITY had just spent £200m.. we had Robinho,Tevez,Lescott, Bridge,Adeybayor, Barry, De Jong, Given, Toure, along with academy kids Richards, Ireland, that's a SQUAD to win the title, or is it.

We started the season brightly.. then went off the boil, thanks in no part to Adebayors assault on the Arsenal fans, which cost us a LOT MORE than it did Arsenal. Look at the run they went on since we peppered them opposed to where we went.

With the news today that Patrick Viera once of Arsenal is primed to sign on a season long loan from will make most City fans shake their heads.. but it will make me happy.. happy in the knowledge that we FINALLY have a proper manager in charge of OUR football team.

Roberto Mancini.. could easily have done a Mark Hughes, by that i mean scoured Europe with £100m and bought a bunch of inform/outta form mercenaries who would have come in and unsettled the fine start we have had under Roberto, albeit with a depleted team.

Look at the players we have missing..

Bridge, Lescott, Toure, Onuoha, Ireland, Adebayor, Robinho, Santa Cruz,Johnson, SWP, etc.. a whole first team unavailable..

So why is Patrick Viera key..He can play midfield, he can play in defence, he's also hungry to make the French World Cup squad in South Africa

He's 33.. He played for Mancini at Inter.( where they won 3 scudettos) He knows Mancini, he knows the Premiership, he knows what it takes to win TROPHIES.because make no mistake.

Roberto Mancini didn't come to Eastlands to finish 4th.. publicly he may well have done.

Roberto Mancini came to England to WIN THE TREBLE.. this season.

League, FA Cup, Carling Cup

Roberto Mancini wants it all.. and he wants it NOW..

Dare to dream.. why not..
