where do i start.. Manchester City played Arsenal last night (January 5Th 2011) at the Emirates.. or the Highbury Library..
Anyhow.. 94 minutes later and two sendings off, one right and one wrong, the game ended in a 0-0 draw, which was bad news for the home side Arsenal, and good news for my team Manchester City.
Afterwards the very bitter Arsene Wenger and his band of moaning footballers led by the imaginary yellow card waver Cesc Fabregas led the onslaught into City's tactics or lack of them in holding out for an away point.
I didn't see anyone condemning Manchester United or Chelsea for doing exactly the same over the years?
City had a game plan, and were missing two influential players in play maker David Silva and striker Mario Balotelli so to go toe to toe with one of your rivals on their home patch would have been seriously misguided and footballing suicide.
As it happened Arsenal hit the post a few times, they did their usual of trying to walk the ball in the net, it didn't work, because we have the best defence in the league, and even though we didn't hurt them as much as even the most dyed in the wool city fan would have liked, it was a useful away point.
Come the end of the season.. points win prizes... as do clean sheets.
The attack of the media led by sky and countless others is laughable.
Roberto Mancini does not pick his team to play football for Sky, nor does he pick his team to play into Arsenals hands.
He picks his teams to either win the game, or if you cant win, make sure you don't lose.
where is the problem?
4 games in 6 days, 10 points won out of a possible 12.. 9 goals scored, and only 1 conceded, one defeat in 13 games, 2ND in the table.
boring, boring city.. oh well..at least you know who we are NOW
